Audits, Classifications, Experience Modifiers:
The Advanced Insurance Management® Review

AIM consults directly with employers about proper Workers Compensation insurance classifications, audits, experience modification factors, and other technical issues that affect Workers Compensation insurance premium charges.

We also are available to consult with insurance producers about technical issues involving proper classifications, audits, and experience modifiers for their clients.

Additionally, we provide expert witness services in litigation cases involving questions of proper Workers Compensation insurance premium charges.

Our consulting work with employers is geared towards finding refunds and premium reductions for employers by correcting technical errors by insurance companies and rating bureaus that improperly increase premiums for Workers Compensation insurance.

Our consultants are available to work on a contingent-fee, an hourly rate, or a hybrid of contingent and hourly charges.

One area of our work that has grown in recent years has been our consulting on Experience Modification Factors for clients.  This is related to our work reviewing Workers Comp insurance charges, but also slightly different in some aspects.

This is because for many companies, their clients use their experience mod as a rough benchmark of workplace safety.  So a mod higher than 1.00 can often mean a company is shut out from bidding on important projects.

It can also mean that customers compare the experience mods of competing companies, and will give preference to the company with the lower modifer.

This is often not a truly fair comparison, but nonetheless it is often the reality on the ground for many businesses.  So AIM increasingly is consulting with employers who wish to reduce their experience modifier as much as possible, without so much regard to how that modifier is impacting their premium charges.

If your company is concerned about your Experience Modification Factor, AIM can help determine what might be done to reduce or at least avoid increases in this benchmark.
